Pranams for all of Guruji/friends on this forum which has helped me to increase my knowledge in astro.
As everyone knows, there are different ayanamsha used for drawing out horoscope. Many are developed by famous astrologers like B V Ramam etc., However there are many minor differences in lagna, planetary positions etc. can be seen in them.
In this regard, can any one suggest me which ayanamsa is good for predicting horoscope ?
It depends on which system of astrology you are using to predict someone's future. If it is KP or krishnamurti paddhati then use the old method of kp along with kp ayanamsa, but if you are following Parashari, Jaimini, or Nadi astrology then I have found the N.C. Lahiri is accurate. Now some peopleRead more

Now some people use B.V. Raman too. I also used B. V. Raman many times in my practice life and many times it disappointed me a little. Hence I do not feel confident enough to use any other ayanamsa other than N.C. Lahiri (there are many other ayanamsa calculation methods apart from NC Lahiri and BV Raman).
When a person comes to you for prediction it is your responsibility as an astrologer to guide the person in every way you can, and when the astrologer is not confident enough to use any ayanamsa or any other system then he should not use it.
One thing that makes me use N. C. Lahiri all the time because it never disappointed me throughout my practice life until now. I believe the story is the same for many other astrologers, hence N.C. Lahiri is the most widely used Ayanamsa among astrologers.
Now, if you are a beginner in any of the astrology system other than kp like Parashari, Jaimini, or Nadi astrology, then my advice to you would be to use N. C. Lahiri method. When you would become a little bit expert then you can try other ayanamsa methods and if you find any other method more comfortable and accurate to work with then use that one. But, at the initial stage starts with N. C Lahiri what 99% astrologers or astrology students start with. If you are learning kp then go with k.p ayanamsa.
Finally, I respect all of them who tried to make astrology more advance by their own research work. B. V. Raman ji, N.C. Lahiri ji and many other scholars were great in their own field of work, there is no doubt at all. They tried their best to make astrological predictions more perfect/ accurate. There is no competition. It is just like, I follow a school of thought and you may follow something else, in the end, we all are doing the same work that is trying to decode the language of nature. God bless.

AS PER BV RAMAN, YOU SHOULD ONLY GO FOR IT IF THINGS ARE NOT CLEAR OR YOUR DATE OF BIRTH AND TIME OF BIRTH IS NOT CLEAR.
