I have read it everywhere that when a planet is debilitated that only gives bad result. Is it really true? Does debilitated planet always give bad result or sometimes it also give good result. If a bad house owner planet becomes debilitated then can it give good result or less bad result? Debilitation of planet judgement seems to be very easy topic, but it makes me very confused sometimes sue to some opposite effects what everyone mentions. Please enlight me with your knowledge.

A debilitated planet simply means it has lost its power as per tradition Vedic astrology (Parashari and Jaimini both). and as per these two principles, those planets cannot give the desired result, whether that is good or bad, in short in this type of phase a planet loses its power to give any result in a horoscope. If it is a bad house’s lord like 6th 8th 12th then it will not be able to give that much bad result (but some astrologer opine that it gives even worse in this type of debilitation stage), and if it is the lord of any good house like 5th 9th or 10th then also the planet will not give any/ much good result.
The reality is different, what you have mentioned in your question also, that you have seen debilitated planets many times do not give results as per Parashari or Jaimini astrology says. when it doesn’t match then astrologers generally talk about NEECH BHANGĀ rajyog or some other. But in some cases, NEECH BHANG rajyog formula also doesn’t work. Now as a student of astrology you must be very confused, and hence you are here.
Actually planets alone cannot work, they work as per various combinations. Most important of them is house combination. To resolve the debilitated planetary rule confusion we need to take the help of NADI ASTROLOGY. In NADI ASTROLOGY Maharshi Bhrigu had made it very simple. He followed the same rule everywhere in all chart interpretations, he did not look at the debilitation or exaltation of a planet at all. As per his interpretation, if a planet is connected with or representing good houses as per its Planetary lordship, Nakshatra lordship and upa-nakshatra lordship then that planet will be considered as a good planet and it will give good results in his dasa, bhuti and antar, and if it is not then even if the planet is exalted, it will not give good result.
I believe I have given the answer, but still if you any questions, you can ask me…keep learning…
